This blog came about over a glass of wine on New Year’s Eve 2014. As my wife and I talked about all the emotion and hype surrounding New Year’s it occurred to me that Dec 31 is no different than any other day. All the introspection and resolutions that get so much attention one day a year should really be practiced every evening. As we chase mindfulness and attempt to live in the present, there are 1,000 distractions that take us into the past or stress us out about the future. The idea behind New Day’s Eve is to set aside some time every evening to reflect on where we are and who we are so we can measure against where we want to be and who we want to be.
